Asst. Prof. Lester John C. Lim
CHE College Secretary
Asst Prof. Lester John C. Lim is a licensed professional teacher and has been a faculty member of the Department of Family Life and Child Development (DFLCD), UP College of Home Economics since 2012. With some years of experience at the UP Child Development Center, the department’s laboratory preschool, he has reinforced his belief that play is more than just a pastime—it is how young children make sense of the world. He has written storybooks for children on topics such as disaster risk reduction and learning to read clocks, while also exploring various family structures, including transnational families and single-parent families. He hopes these books will help blend creative experiences with purposeful learning for young children. He held various administrative positions like Chair of the DFLCD (2013-2015), Office of Community Extension and Services (2019). Currently, he serves as the College Secretary and Quality Assurance Officer of the UP College of Home Economics.
