Instituted in 1983, the MFLCD is a graduate program designed to equip students with essential theories and skills for building and nurturing careers in early childhood and family life. Graduates of the MFLCD program pursue careers as child development consultants, preschool teachers and administrators, family life specialists, child and family programs planners and evaluators, and researchers, among others.
