Ms. Nicole R. Expectacion, MD
Dr. Nicole Ramos Expectacion, LPT, practices medicine both as a general and occupational health physician, while serving as a senior lecturer at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman’s College of Human Kinetics, and more recently, in the College of Home Economics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East - Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center and graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Life and Child Development from UP Diliman. Known fondly as “Teacher Nics,” she excels in facilitating engaging, student-centered instruction. Her teaching style blends theoretical knowledge with practical, real-life application. She handles courses in anatomy, physiology, and first aid. She will now be teaching under the department, spanning courses such as Development from Prenatal Stage to Middle Childhood and Special Topics in FLCD. Beyond her clinical responsibilities in prominent companies and hotels, she remains deeply committed to health policy, occupational wellness, child welfare, and the study of family systems and interpersonal relationships. Teacher Nics embodies a practical yet visionary approach to both education and healthcare, which could enrich and expound knowledge of FLCD in relation to other fields of practice.
