Faculty-In-Charge, UPCDC
Teacher Mimi currently serves as the Faculty-in-Charge of DFLCD's laboratory school, U.P. Child Development Center. She has handled college classes in the BSFLCD program, specifically those about child development programs and pre-service teaching. She has also led preschool classes in UPCDC, including the Toddlers' Class and the Infant Development Program. After graduating from the BSFLCD program, she has been an educator for 12 years. In 2014, she garnered 5th place in the Licensure Exam for Teachers.
Aside from these, she also partners with various NGOs and LGUs for projects involving children and capacity-building initiatives for parents and teachers. She is currently completing her graduate degree in Master of Arts in Education (Educational Psychology). Inspired by interactions with her son, her areas of interest include infant and toddler development, parent-child relationships, parent-teacher partnerships, and young children's emotion regulation. With the Department of Science and Technology, she has also authored six children's storybooks, which are available for distribution to hundreds of public schools and child development centers in the country.
